I am pleased to write up today’s Legend, Matt Angus (Player ID 85657), Australian representative and now someone who is local to my comps (Brisbane and Sunshine Coast) and someone I am proud to call a mate.
Matt is known all over the LMS world for his bruising hitting powers, but has more than made a mark with the ball, like so many of the elites.
Matty has played 389 matches so far, 118 of them for his native South Australian “Dirty Slappers”, and also 43 matches for “Cans and cants” (also from SA).

Comment: It is the combination of 10 x 100s, an average of 56 at a scoring rate of almost 12 an over, the bountiful amount of 50+ scores he has (150), and the fact that he has played at literally the highest level achievable in LMS that combines to paint a very pretty picture.

Comment: If Angus’s stats were his resume, he would lead with his batting, no two ways. That said, given his excellent numbers here (particularly that Econ, if he bowls 20 overs he concedes 126 runs…), all that really proves is how strong his batting is, as these are very good bowling figures.
