Marty “GOAT” Henderson, Player ID 197000, is an institution in LMS.
From his dominance within his native Ipswich comp, to successful dabbling in the Brisbane league, his omnipresent banter at the annual Aus Champs, or indeed in representing and performing well for LMS Australia, everyone knows Marty and how good he is.
And, if by some oddity you do not know how good he is, just ask him; he will find the time to explain to you in detail!
I am pleased to call Marty a good friend, and every time I see him he is energised, competitive and ready for a chat and a laugh.
He is also just 2 games away from cracking the 500-game mark, what a feat!

Marty tends to bat himself lower these days, both to ensure his 8 men get their monies worth but also as a classic run-chase shepherd. These numbers are fantastic:

Comment: Incredible numbers, the fact he’s holding a 200+ SR after just so long (and so many tournaments at the highest of levels) is amazing.

As you will see below, Marty’s numbers with the ball are arguably as good as (or even better) than his enormous batting feats.

Comment: I love that Marty averages 1.07 wkts per game (anywhere above 1 is very good), hovers around that 20 mark and keeps his Econ under 6.5. I would argue that he has won more games with the ball than the bat, and I reckon he would even go along with that.

Comment: Utterly insane to be perfectly frank. He has also never averaged under 50.7 in any year since with the bat, and never above 23 with the ball since and including 2017 – he ain’t going nowhere!
