Date range: Mon 22 Mar – Sun 28 Mar.

These are the top performers across 4,745 players, 6 countries and 34 regions!

More than 1,000 extra players in the pool this week, let us see who made the cut.

TOTAL BAT, BOWL & KEEPING STATS

* Batsmen scored 77,928 runs last week off 58,040 balls/11,608.0 overs at a strike rate of 134 runs per 100 balls/6.71 runs per over.
* Bowlers took 2,739 wickets at an average of 28.5 runs per wicket.
* The 693 wicketkeepers effected 463 dismissals at 0.67 dismissals per keeper (378 catches + 85 stumpings)

TOP 5 SCORES

1. MATT ANGUS (Explosive Dairy, Brisbane, AUS) – 103 off 27 (SR 381)
2. MICHAEL MAKKAI (Part Timers, Toowoomba, AUS) – 99 off 27 (SR 367)
3. TWIN TIRO (Silly Sloggers, Brisbane) – 93 off 39 (SR 238)
4. MEYER VAN ZYL (Mighty Ducks, Auckland Nth Shore, NZ) – 87 off 44 (SR 198)
5. EVAN MCGARVEY (Seal Pups 1 st XI, Auckland, NZ) – 86 off 40 (SR 215)

Comment: These 5 tanks smote a total of 468 runs off 177 balls/35.2 overs at the scoring rates of 264 runs per 100 balls/13.2 runs per over.

My top pick: Top score, best strike rate, lone centurion, also took 1/9 off 4, MATT ANGUS reigns supreme this week by a distance.

TOP 5 FIGURES

1. JAYDEN MALLON (Clowes park cricket club, Wollongong, AUS) – 5/13 off 3.0 (Econ 4.33)
2. JOHN MANZ (The Redbacks, Ipswich, AUS) – 5/21 off 4.0 (Econ 5.25)
3. STEPHAN MAREE (BF, Pretoria, SAF) – 5/27 off 4.0 (Econ 6.75)
4. JASON DU PLESSIS (No Idea, Pretoria, SAF) – 4/3 off 3.0 (Econ 1.00)
5. JIBIN FRANCIS (Gong Tuskers, Wollongong, AUS) – 4/3 off 1.3 (Econ 1.88)

Comment: Crazy as always, these chaps took 23 wickets between them for just 67 runs @ 2.9 runs per wicket. To do this, they sent down 78 balls/15.3 overs, taking a wicket every 3.4 balls, conceding just 4.29 runs per over in the process.

My top pick: Controversial, but JIBIN FRANCIS’S 4 wickets in 8 balls for just 3 runs is the stuff of nightmares for a batting side. He has cut down half an LMS team in 1.3 overs…

FIRST BALL HOME RUNS

* DUANE PITCHER (Bays Caps Old Boys, Auckland Nth Shore, NZ) – SR 1,200 (12* off 1 ball, also took
1/22 off 4.0)
* JASON HILL (Swingers Plus 2, Auckland Nth Shore, NZ) – SR 1,200 (12* off 1 ball, also took 1/22 off
4.0, the same as DUANE above, also hailing from the same region!)

Note: Sadly, whilst from the same region, these scores/stats were not achieved in the same match, but each player earned MOTM!

TOP 5 BAT STRIKE RATES

Note: Minimum 30 runs scored.

1. RYAN KAY (You Up?, Brisbane, AUS) – SR 491 (54 off 11)
2. JASON HOLLAND (Almost 8, Wellington, NZ) – SR 450 (45 off 10)
3. LUKE FARRELL (Old Two Blues C.C., Melbourne, AUS) – SR 400 (36 off 9)
4. NUSKAN NUSKAN (Sultans, Perth, AUS) – SR 400 (36 off 9)
5. MATT ANGUS (Explosive Dairy, Brisbane, AUS) – SR 381 (103 off 27)

Comment: Great to see two Brisbane lads in here just quietly, these 5 powerhouses crunched a ridiculous 274 runs off just 66 balls/13.1 overs (SR 415/20.8 runs per over!)

My top pick: Whilst Angus reached the ton, something we celebrated heartily above, I can’t go past RYAN KAY’S ridiculous strike rate of 491 runs per 100 balls! For other context, picture your team has bowled 2.1 overs and the opponent is on 54. Yeah, that is what KAY did!

TOP 5 ECON RATES

Note: Minimum 3.0 overs bowled.

1. AMIR NASIM (Straight 6’s, Johannesburg, SAF) – Econ 0.75 (3/3 off 4.0)
2. JASON DU PLESSIS (No Idea, Pretoria, SAF) – Econ 1.00 (4/3 off 3.0)
3. CHRIS MCCARTHY, MOUNTIES, Perth, AUS) – Econ 1.00 (2/3 off 3.0)
4. ADAM HYMAN (We’ll Bat First, Gold Coast, AUS) – Econ 1.25 (1/5 off 4.0)
5. STEPHEN DAVIS (Boldova, Sydney, AUS) – Econ 1.25 (1/5 off 4.0)

Comment: 5 lads, 18.0 overs/90 balls bowled to concede just 19 runs (1.06 runs per over), with 11 wickets to boot (1.7 runs per wicket, 8.2 balls per wicket).

My top pick: AMIR NASIM cannot be beaten for going into the decimals per over and taking as many wickets as runs conceded!

TOP 3 ALL-ROUNDERS

Note: Minimum 50 runs (and SR of 200+) + minimum 3 wkts (and Econ of 5.00 or under), then selected as a priority of top score, strike rate, wickets taken and econ (roughly, they are all awesome
performances!)

1. MATT FLOROS (Solid Nuts, Brisbane, AUS) – 55 off 23 (SR 239) & 4/12 off 3.3 (Econ 3.33)
2. DOUG WEBSTER (LMS 1 ALL STARS, Johannesburg, SAF) – 54 off 21 (SR 257) & 3/5 off 1.3 (Econ 3.13)
3. NAVJOT SINGH (Star Blasters, Sydney, AUS) – 50 off 24 (SR 208) & 3/7 off 2.4 (Econ 2.50)

Comment: These 3 make up 6 cricketers to be sure, to be sure. They whacked 159 runs off 68 balls/13.3 overs (SR 234/11.7 runs per over) and bagged 10 wickets for 24 runs off 8.0 overs @ 2.4 runs per wicket, 4.0 balls per wicket and 3.00 runs per over). Crazy stuff.

My top pick: Handsome MATTY FLOROS takes the chocolates here for his extra wicket, top score and most overs bowled, fantastic work mate.

TOP KEEPERS

* 5 dismissals:
- MARNET BIERMAN (Raptors, Bedfordview, SAF) – 3 stumpings + 2 catches & 0/19 off 4.0 (Econ 4.75)
* 4 dismissals:

- LACHLAN MORRIS (The Notorious P.I.Geons, Sydney, AUS) – 4 catches
- DANIEL FORD (MOUNTIES, Perth, AUS) – 4 catches
- KISHAN PATEL (Glad18ors, Perth, AUS) – 4 stumpings

Comment: MARNET BIERMAN for the win this week, love how he also rolled down 4 overs and concede just 19 runs in addition to removing 63% of a team with his gloves!

TOP FIELDERS

* 4 catches:
- JJ HAVENGA (Klap It 2, Bedfordview, SAF) – and also 1/9 off 2.0 (Econ 4.50)
- DARREN WRIGHT (Part Timers, Toowoomba, AUS) – and also 1/17 off 2.0 (Econ 8.50)
- ROBIN ANDERSON (TigerMoos, Perth, AUS) – and also 1/23 off 4.0 (Econ 5.75)

Comment: Excellent how each of these lads also jagged a wicket apiece.

Reach for the stats boys.
