Last Man Stands (LMS), the world’s largest amateur T20 cricket league, is thrilled to announce that the LMS World Champs 2027 will be hosted by the City of Durban in October 2027, one week before the ICC World Cup gets underway.
This Last Man Stands World Champs will see the best amateur cricket teams from across the globe compete for the ultimate LMS crown in one of the world’s most iconic cricketing destinations.
“Durban is the perfect host city – world-class cricket fields, a cricket-loving culture. It has immense natural beauty with incredible beaches, fantastic restaurants and night life - its a vibe. The timing, right before the ICC World Cup, ensures momentum for cricket and unmatched exposure for the LMS community worldwide and promises to be an incredible all round experience for the players,” said Bjorn Briggs - Director LMS Global.
Road to Durban, LMS World Champs 2027
To earn their place on this global stage, teams will need to qualify through World Champs Qualification (WCQ) Events held in countries where Last man Stands is played.
The following teams have already qualified
1. Hippo Hitters from Kerala became the first team to officially secure their place at the LMS World Champs 2027. They earned their spot by winning the CCF Kochi tournament held in April 2025.

3. Western Swingers, won the Australian National Champs in September 2025
4. Nalwa Warriors won the Malaysian Open in November 2025
5. Pakkay Muu Walay runners up in the Malaysian Open in November 2025
With more WCQ Events for 2026 and 2027 set to be announced soon, teams around the world will have even greater opportunities to qualify and battle for a place among the best at the World Champs.
