National Champs Team Qualification Rule 1
A team must have played 5 games of Last Man Stands between 21 March 2022 and 18 March 2023 to be eligible for a National Champs.

National Champs Team Qualification Rule 2
National Champs Teams may have a squad of between 8 and 12 players. A maximum of 4 players who qualify under National Champs Player Qualification Rule 2 are allowed in the squad. All remaining players must qualify under National Champs Qualification Rule 1.

National Champs Team Qualification Rule 3
If a team is unable to get 8 players in their squad, they may apply to the Tournament Organiser for a ‘Ringer’. The Tournament Organiser will have the final say on approval of players and/or help source players. Any approved ‘Ringers’ may only bat last and bowl a maximum of 2 overs.

National Champs Player Qualification Rule 1
To play at a National Champs, a player must have played a minimum of 3 LEAGUE games for that side between 21 March 2021 and 19 March 2022.
Local League Play off games and Regional Champions League games do not count as ‘LEAGUE’ games under Rule 1

National Champs Player Qualification Rule 2
A player may also qualify to play at a National Champs if they have played 10 career games for the team.

National Champs Player Qualification Rule 3
A player is only allowed to represent one team at each National Champs. If a player meets the eligibility criteria for more than one team, they must choose which team they want to play for.

LMS Rules

These terms and conditions form part of the official entry into the LMS New Zealand Champs. By entering and/or participating in the New Zealand Champs you consent to these terms and conditions.
The team organiser further confirms and warrants that all participants are aware of the terms and conditions contained herein.

Terms and conditions of play:

1.) RULES & POINT SYSTEMS
The standard LastManStands.com rules and game point system will apply to New Zealand Champs, unless specified otherwise on this page. All teams participating in the New Zealand Champs must wear official LMS Shirts.

2.) TEAM ELIGIBILITY

All Teams entering must have completed at least 5 LMS games in an New Zealnd LMS competition between the 1 March 2021 and 19 March 2022. All teams entering will also only be accepted if they are considered to be a New Zealand based LMS side.

3.) PLAYER ELIGIBILITY
Players involved in the New Zealand Champs must meet one of the following criteria:

- Have played at least 3 games for the participating team between 21 March 2021 and 19 March 2022

- OR have played at least 10 career games for the participating team

If a team is not able to fulfil the above criteria, they must request special dispensation pre-tournament for an extra player to be involved by email to the tournament organisers at [email protected]

Please note: Players need to have received stats and must be registered for the team for above to apply. If the player in question played a game but did not receive stats for that game because he was not registered then this will not count as a game for the purpose of the qualification criteria above. It is up the team organiser to ensure that all their team/players meet the tournament qualification criteria.

Also, please note that players may only play for one team during the New Zealand Champs. In case of injuries, a substitute fielder (not added into the original playing 8 for the fixture in question) may be used, but this substitute will not be allowed to bat, bowl or keep wicket.

Plate Competition Sub Rule: Up to two players from another team (i.e. outside of a team’s initial tournament squad list) may be used by teams in the plate competition to replace players leaving the tournament early, but these players cannot bat in the top 6 or bowl more than 2 overs in each plate tournament match. Note that these players can also only play for one team in the Plate Competition.

4.) TEAM SQUAD
All tournament squad lists (maximum 12 players) must be submitted to [email protected] by 21st March 2022. This squad list must contain a minimum of 4 players that have played 3 LMS games between 21 March 2021 and 19 March 2022, and the remainder of the players must also meet that requirement or alternatively have played 10 career games for the team.

Only players listed on your submitted squad list will be eligible to play a full part in a game.

5.) MATCH DAY TEAM
The Match Day Team must only contain players who have been listed on Team Squad List unless agreed otherwise by the tournament organiser prior to the game taking place.

6.) EVENT STRUCTURE & DATES
New Zealand Champs including, but not limited to group structures, prizes, team count, venues and dates may vary at the Organiser's sole discretion. Any variation may not be construed as a basis for return of entry fee, unless the Organiser agrees otherwise.

7.) CLOTHING
Teams may only play in the official Last Man Stands clothing. The Last Man Stands logos as well as any sponsors logos are trademarked property and may not be reproduced without written permission.

8.) PRIZES
All prizes may be withdrawn/cancelled by LMS New Zealand at its sole discretion and at any stage should a Team to which it was awarded be found to have to have cheated and/or be found to have attempted to manipulate any LMS New Zealand Event or a have conducted themselves in such a manner as to contravene the Player Code of Conduct of Last Man Stands.
Prizes are not redeemable and cannot be transferred for cash or another other form/transferred to any other teams/persons nor is there any refund value.

9.) GENERAL TRAVEL
All members of the Team that stay within accommodation including hotels arranged by LMS New Zealand shall provide damages deposits to the hotel on arrival. Should there be any additional charges incurred by the Team the Entrant shall ensure that payment of such additional costs are settled directly with the hotel failing which the Entrant will be responsible for meeting any claims subsequently made against LMS New Zealand (together with our own and the other party's full legal costs). Should you be flying to the New Zealand Champs via a group booking offered by the Organiser, seating may be requested for your group however we cannot guarantee that all seats will be located together.
All payments made with respects to the New Zealand Champs, including but not limited to deposits, Event entrance fees, flights and/or hotels are non-refundable once payment has been made. Your entrance into the New Zealnd Champs, flight and/or hotel shall only be deemed to be confirmed once full payment has been made. Failure to make payment in full on the agreed final date of payment or failure to pay deposits on time will mean cancellation of your New Zealand Champs entrance, flights and/or hotel booking. Prices may also vary according to increases in travel prices, taxes, Event costs or at the Organisers discretion. At this point you will be liable to settle any difference in pricing on demand. Any changes or amendments to bookings that can be accommodated are to be requested in writing. A reasonable admin fee will be levied by the Organiser if such change or amendment can be accommodated. Entrant shall ensure that all information supplied to the Organiser regarding his/her/it shall be true and correct for the purposes of travel. The Organiser shall not be liable for any cancellations or damages sustained as a result of incorrect travel information provided.
It is your responsibility to ensure that you and the Participants are in possession of all necessary travel and health documents before departure. The Organiser cannot accept any liability if you are refused entry onto any transport or into any country due to failure on your part to carry correct documentation. If failure to have any necessary travel or other documents results in fines, surcharges or other financial penalty being imposed on us, you will be responsible for reimbursing us accordingly. In the event the Organiser is asked to reissue tickets that have been lost, destroyed or stolen and we agree to do so, any charges incurred as a result of this will be‚ payable by you. No refunds shall be provided should travel visas or the like be refused. The onus is on the travelling party to ensure they obtain sufficient visas for travel.

10.) INSURANCE AND EVENT CANCELLATION (Partial or full)
The Entrant/Participants and Team are solely responsible for travel, sport and entry insurance while travelling to and from as well as during the New Zealand Champs, including insurance covering partial/full cancellation of the New Zealand Champs due to any reason including acts of God. Remember that you need to make it clear to your insurance company that you will be partaking in a cricket event to ensure you get full protection including partial/full cancellation of the New Zealand Champs. In the unlikely event that we are forced to change/cancel/partially cancel or terminate the New Zealand Champs for any reason outside of our control, we regret we will be unable to make any refunds (unless we obtain any from our suppliers), pay you compensation or meet any costs or expenses you incur as a result.

11.) LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY
The Team agrees to participate in the New Zealand Champs and have read and understood the Rules and Regulations of the event and all that it entails. The Entrant confirms that he/she/it is authorised by the Team to declare that the Team agrees to abide by the Rules and Regulations contained in the links below:

and any ruling made from time to time by the Organisers as well as the terms and conditions contained herein. In the event that there is a contradiction between the Rules and Regulations and the terms and conditions contained herein, then these terms and conditions shall apply.
The Team acknowledges and accepts that cricket can be a dangerous sport and that accidents causing death, bodily injury, disability, loss or damage, including property damage, can occur. The Entrant, as well as each and every participant, accept these risks. By participating in the New Zealand Champs, the Entrant, hereby irrevocably indemnifies and keeps indemnified the Organiser, its franchises, directors, employees and third party agents against all loss (consequential or otherwise), damage, injury and or death, costs including legal costs, interest and expenses which the Organiser, its franchises, directors, employees and third party agents may hereafter be held liable for, pay, incur or sustain in connection with any action, proceedings or claim being instituted against it by any party whomsoever, including the legal guardian of the minor child, directly or indirectly arising from or related to the use of all the Event facilities in respect of all Participants involved in the Team including all minors. The Organiser will not be held liable for any injuries or damages (consequential or otherwise) that occurs to you, or your Team, your property or that of a 3rd party during the Event. Look after yourselves and each other. The Entrant, Participants and Organisers are independent contracting parties, and nothing contained in this agreement shall be deemed to create a partnership, joint venture or agency relationship between them, or grant any party any authority to assume or create any obligation on behalf of, or in the name of the other.

12.) GENERAL
The Entrant/ Participants and Team further consent to Organiser utilising any photographs, video footage or the like in its social media posts, marketing media or equivalent in perpetuity, across the world and without consideration. The Organiser reserves the right to amend any of the aforementioned terms and conditions at any stage including the dates of the New Zealand Champs, its structure, fixtures, prizes and/or venue. It is the responsibility of the Entrant to ensure that he/she/it as well as the Team remains up to date with amendments. 13) National Champs qualification pathway to LMS World Champs Qualified teams‚ for the LMS World Championship via the New Zealand Champs need to adhere to the LMS World Champs terms and conditions.
