With the 2021 season on the horizon and the hope for a full summer of LMS cricket we profile the umpiring stats for these fantastic guys. They have been managing the London leagues with distinction for the last decade or so and testament to them, they have made many friends along the way in the leagues they have managed. They are undeniably the engine room of the LMS London operation & the reason why the leagues have been so successful and popular over the years. The joy and excitement they bring to the 1000’s each summer is immense. The stats, stories & banter these games bring will go down in LMS folklore among mates forever. These legends are human and make the odd mistake, but these are few and far between. Well done guys!!

1200 games (2011-2020) – London’s most capped umpire and the players most favourite umpire. Always a smile on his face. Umpires and manages with distinction. Well done buddy!

Shafi Tanvir
1000 games (2013-2020) – London’s strictest umpire but very well-liked & respected and runs his games with distinction and excellence. Watch out for him on Sky Sports in a few years. Here he is with Chris Lewis. Well done budd!

Arif Shabbudin
750 Games (2011-2020) – The quiet assassin. Small in stature but strong in character and doesn’t take any nonsense. Well respected and liked. Well done buddy!

Shovo Haque
588 Games (2011-2020) – Always late but a great umpire. Manages with distinction. Well done buddy!

Shakil Hossain
416 Games (2014-2020) – A friendlier guy you won’t meet. Manages with distinction and very well-liked. Always reliable. Well done buddy!

Emu Haque

Johnny Ash
415 Games (2014-2020) – Head of the elite panel of umpires and does a fantastic job year in and year out. Extremely popular. Legend. Well done buddy. Great cricketer too.

Rifat Islam
325 Games (2008-2013) – The original London umpires manager legend. Working his magic in the HQ office in Bangladesh these days. Here he is in Cape Town in 2017 at the World Champs with Neil Mckenzie and Charl Langaveldt
