FAQ

How many games will we play?
Teams are guaranteed a minimum of 5 games, 3 group games, 1 knockout match in either the Cup or Plate competition and then another knockout match in the Cup/Shield or Plate/Bowl.

Do we play every day?
To reduce the amount of time local players need to take off work, the draw will be flexible, however, this can not take into account rain affected matches and rescheduling.

Do we play on Saturdays?
As above, to allow as many local teams and the best players to enter, as well as to avoid clashes with local club cricket, we will schedule Saturday 30 August to be a rain/rest day. Should we need to catch up on rained out games, we may schedule games on Saturday.

Does LMS Assist with Visas?
Once a team has paid the DEPOSIT, Last Man Stands will provide an invite letter and supporting document to teams needing to apply for Visas, but we can not be held responsible for the success of Visa applications and all payment deadlines must be stuck to regardless of the status of Visa applications. We will also only provide visa letters for players within your tournament squad. Due to tightening visa and travel restrictions, we are unable to provide visa letters for travelling supporters or family.

Is my deposit refundable?
No, non-refundable deposits are not refundable or able to be transferred. There are limited spots available for this tournament and teams will be filled on a first come, first served basis.

How many teams will be part of the Wise LMS World Champs 2025?
Team numbers will be limited to 32 teams initially. However, if there is an incredible demand to be a part of the tournament, we may increase this based on availability of fields etc.

What are the accommodation options?
Now that we have finalised our plans for the event, we will be reaching out to Accommodation Partners to try and get some deals over the line for teams.

What happens if my team doesn’t progress past the group stage?
Teams who do not qualify for the Cup Knockouts will qualify for the Plate Competition.

Will the tournament format change?
LMS HQ reserves the right to adapt the format or structure of the tournament at any time in the best interest of the tournament and Last Man Stands.
