The structure for the UKSA £2008 T20 Champions league has now been finalised. In summary 16 teams will automatically qualify for the champions league which starts on the 31st of August.

ALL TEAMS IN THE REGENTS PARK WEEK NIGHT LEAGUE THAT FINISH 1ST IN THE LEAGUE AUTOMATICALLY QUALIFY FOR THE CHAMPIONS LEAGUE DAY ON THE 31ST AUGUST.

TEAMS FINISHING 2ND / 3RD WILL PLAY A QUALIFYING MATCH DURING THE WEEK 11-14 AUGUST.

Van Damme look certain to finish top but it could be a tight finish for the qualifiers places with Carmels, Tadpoles & Pounami all able to finish in the 2nd/3rd spots

RADIO JACKIE (107.8) BARNES LADIES LEAGUE

LMS had its second ladies game on Saturday the 12th July at Barnes with a new look Dukesmead Ladies CC playing against Dulwich Ladies CC. Dukesmead batted first and scored 131 in there 20 overs, Kath winks scored 49 off 30 balls. Ann Sage picked up 2 wickets for 33 runs in her 4 overs.

Dulwich ladies made a valiant effort in there chase with Emma Gatland smashing 44 and could only reach 95 in their 20 overs. Kath Winks took a brilliant catch at square leg off the bwling of Sian Fogden.

CHAMPS LEAGUE UPDATE

With both Battersea leagues entering the latter part of the season, the Pistol Nomads comfortably lead the table in Tuesday nite league but 2nd place could be a tight finish with 3 teams all in with a shout.

In the Wednesday league the London Ninjas lead the Herbacks on net run rate but have a game in hand.

TUES 12TH AUGUST is going to be the BATTERSEA FINAL with the top team from each league fighting it out to be crowned Battersea Champions and an automatic spot in the Champions League day on the 31 August.

Wimbledon T20 Cricket

UKZA Wimbledon Sunday Super League

The first semi final this Sunday sees the favourites Hansies take on Good Time CC at 10:30. The winner of this game will have the opportunity to plan for the final at 15:00 by watching the 2nd semi final between a rampant All Boks side and the 2006 winners The Eds Brothers. Rhodes take on Old Saints in a champs league qualifying match/5th vs 6th play off at 17:15.

Historically losing semi finalists stick around to watch the final and we hope this tradition continues on Sunday !

CHAMPIONS LEAGUE UPDATE

TOP 2 TEAMS IN THE LEAGUE PLAY IN THE LEAGUE FINAL, THE WINNER OF THE LEAGUE WILL PLAY A CHAMPS LEAGUE QUALIFIER ON TUES 12TH AUGUST.

Fancy Dans look to finish on top of the table but the second spot could be a tight finish between Maccabi and Islington CC.

With 2 games left in the league theres everything to play for.

Last Man Stands Summer Golf day 28 June!

Last Man Stands will be holding a summer golf day on Saturday the 28th of June at Traditions golf club. There will be prizes - longest drive, closest to the pin, best medal score, and team prizes. The format will be better ball stableford.

The cost per player is £35.This covers green fees and entry into the prize competition. (Tradition green fees on Saturday - £30 + £5 for competition).
